Welcome to The Welby Practice.
With patient’s needs at the heart of everything we do, our website has been designed to make it easy for you to gain instant access to the information you need. As well as specific practice details such as opening hours and how to register, you’ll find a wealth of useful pages covering a wide range of health issues along with links to other relevant medical organisations.
Cold Caller claiming to be the practice
It has been brought to our attention that some members of the public have received cold calls from a mobile number claiming to be the Practice. These calls have been in relation to taking part in a survey, before going on to ask for personal details. If you receive a telephone call which you believe may be fraudulent, please disconnect the call and do not provide any personal information, we will never ask for payment details. If you believe you are the victim of a fraud, report this to Action Fraud as soon as possible by calling 0300 123 2040 or visiting Action Fraud.
Online Access to Your Summary Care Record
You are now able to access your Summary Care Record which provides you with information on any medications you may be taking and any medications that you have a documented allergy or sensitivity to.
Shingles Vaccination Available.
Shingles vaccines are now available. You are eligible for the shingles vaccine if you're aged 70 or 78 years old. In addition, anyone who was previously eligible but missed out on their shingles vaccination remains eligible until their 80th birthday. The shingles vaccine is not available on the NHS to anyone aged 80 and over because it seems to be less effective in this age group.
For more information on the shingles vaccine please visit NHS Choices website via the following link: https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/vaccinations/who-can-have-the-shingles-vaccine/
You are now able to order repeat prescriptions online
