RCGP Active Practice Charter

Our practice has been awarded the ‘RCGP Active Practice Charter’

As a practice we recognise the health benefits of regular physical activity and breaking up time seated or lying awake. We have been awarded for achieving the RCGP Active Practice Charter by making the following active changes:

» To reduce sedentary behaviour in staff by:

Installed stand up desks, encourage regular breaks, including going for a walk on their lunch break hosting and advertising exercise events in break rooms and company newsletter.

» To reduce sedentary behaviour in patients by:

Wellbeing notice board at our practices advertising events and promoting physical and mental wellbeing. Introduced wellbeing walks and promote local events of the same sort. Use the display to share up to date information on physical activity and mental wellbeing

» To increase physical activity in staff by:

We host a chair yoga session every month, we introduced the great miles challenge to log miles, km or steps in helping us reach 2900 miles the longest walkable route in Europe Bicycle parking available at all our practices.

Use TV to display exercise videos and advice. Introduced the great miles challenge to log miles, km or steps in helping us reach 2900 miles the longest walkable route in Europe
